Drishyam 2 gives us the closure we needed but with inconvenience aside
The first Drishyam film (2015) looms large over the sequel not only in terms of setting, locations and people but also in terms of its effects and finesse. So Drishyam 2 is very clearly not for those who haven't seen the first one and been thoroughly impressed. Drishyam 2, directed by Abhishek Pathak, is an adaptation of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name rather than a remake and is packed with intriguing and unexpected twists just like the first film. It's been seven years since the cases against the Salgaonkars were closed and Ajay Devgan's "fourth pass" Cable operator Vijay Salgaonkar now owns a multiplex and seems to be flourishing. The rumors about him and the 'Sam Deshmukh Case' are still not over and the family, especially Vijay's wife Nandini (Shriya Sharan) and elder daughter Anju (Ishita Dutta) are in fear of finding out The panic seems justified when Mira Deshmukh's (Tabu) batchmate, the new Inspector General, Tarun Ahlawat (Akshaye Khanna) reopens the missing case of Mira's son Sam. And it looks like Tarun, who is "eccentric" but a genius at solving cases, is about to outwit Vijay and outsmart Sam's skeleton. But will Bollywood lovers refuse Vijay? Will Nandini and Anju finally break up and end everything
